Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Rae Dawn Chong (Commando) have joined the cast of Shiver, the film based on Brian Harper’s novel that we first told you about in August.

They’ll join Danielle Harris, John Jarratt and Luke Goss.

Harris tells Fangoria, “My role is Wendy and she’s a bit of a loner, kind of a shy woman trying to find her way. She doesn’t have the best relationship with her mother, her father’s not around and she isn’t very close with men in general. And this particular man takes a little bit more than a liking to her…”

The story concerns a serial killer with a penchant for taking his victim’s heads. Shooting begins next week with The Last Horror Movie’s Julian Richards directing.
